Made by hand.Moved by sunlight.
Jamie’s natural rock waterfall brings moving water to an existing backyard pond. Real stone, a solar-powered pump, and a little space for nature.

“My backyard pond wouldn’t be complete without this natural rock waterfall.”

Picture it in your garden.
A beautiful result begins with the space you already have. Here’s what to consider before choosing your kit.
Explore the linked kit- Start with a pond
- Jamie adds a natural rock waterfall to an existing backyard pond. The film is inspiration for that addition, rather than a complete pond-building tutorial.
- Give the panel direct sun
- Place the panel where it receives direct sunlight. The linked solar kit has no battery backup; water flow depends on sunlight and stops at night.
- Keep the water close
- Plan a modest flow that returns to the pond. Your rocks, pond size and waterfall height determine which pump will suit your space.
Bring a little movement home.
The linked 20W solar filter kit combines a solar pump, pond filtration and fountain attachments. Use the tubing outlet to explore a gentle waterfall in a suitable small pond.
20W solar panel · Up to 280 GPH
Recommended pond size: 140–350 gallons.
Direct sunlight required. No battery or nighttime operation.

Think about your pond, your sunlight and the flow you want to enjoy. These answers help you choose with fewer surprises.
Can I add this to an existing pond without an outdoor outlet?
Yes, that is the idea behind Jamie’s project: add moving water to a pond you already have. The linked kit is powered by its solar panel, so it does not need a mains outlet. You still need a suitable pond or basin, tubing connections and a return path for the water.
What should I measure before choosing the kit?
Check pond volume, water depth, the vertical lift to the top of your waterfall and the tubing route. The linked 20W kit is recommended for 140–350-gallon ponds and lists a working water depth of 2.3–16 inches. Those ranges are a starting point: fish load, debris and the waterfall layout also matter.
Will it make a wide or powerful waterfall?
Plan a modest rock waterfall rather than a large curtain of water. The up-to-280-GPH rating is a maximum flow rating; lifting water, tubing resistance and a split outlet reduce the flow at your waterfall. Ask for help sizing a pump if you want a stronger stream, a tall drop or a broad spillway.
Can my pond be shaded if the panel is in the sun?
The pond and panel can be in different spots. The linked kit lists a 16-foot power cable, so check the actual cable route before buying. Put the panel in direct sunlight and allow for shadows moving across the garden. Do not assume you can add any extension cable without confirming compatibility.
Will it run on cloudy days, in the evening or overnight?
This kit has no battery backup. Weak sunlight can reduce or stop the flow, and it will not run at night. If an evening waterfall or continuous circulation is essential, choose equipment designed for that requirement instead. Do not rely on a daylight-only solar kit as the sole round-the-clock life-support system for fish.
Can I use a fountain and a small waterfall at the same time?
The linked kit supports fountain use, a tubing-fed water feature, or a split output through its diverter. Sharing the output means less flow for each feature. Plan the waterfall first, then adjust the balance; two outlets do not each receive the pump’s full maximum flow.
What comes with the kit, and what do I supply?
The linked kit includes its solar panel, pump and filter box, filter media, fountain fittings and connection tubing. Your pond or basin, rocks, planting and landscape preparation are separate. Check the current product listing for the exact contents, connector sizes and tubing length before ordering extra parts.
Will the filter keep my pond clear or replace a koi filter?
It captures debris and provides basic biological filtration, but it does not guarantee algae-free or maintenance-free water. Pond size, fish load, sunlight and debris all affect the result. It is not intended as the main filter for a large or heavily stocked koi pond.
How much cleaning and upkeep should I expect?
Plan to check water level and keep access to the filter and pump. The product guidance recommends rinsing the filter pads, box, pump intake and nozzle about every 1–2 weeks, sooner when leaves or waste build up. Keep the panel clean, and follow the supplied manual when servicing or reassembling the kit.
What if the flow is weak or stops after installation?
First check whether the panel has direct, unobstructed sunlight. Then check water level, clogged filter pads or intake, a blocked nozzle and kinked tubing. A higher waterfall or divided output can also reduce flow. If it still will not run, stop guessing at replacement parts and contact support with your layout and product details.
How can I make the pond welcoming for wildlife and family time?
Keep a gentle way for small creatures to get into and out of the pond, such as a shallow edge or suitable ramp, and leave calm water areas. Supervise children around any water feature. Jamie describes wildlife visiting the garden; this film does not establish a guaranteed wildlife result or certify pond water as safe for pets to drink. RHS wildlife-pond guidance.
What should I do when freezing weather is expected?
Do not assume an outdoor kit can be left full of water through freezing conditions. Check the supplied manual for the pump, filter and panel’s cold-weather instructions, including any draining, removal and storage requirements. For a fish pond, plan appropriate seasonal care separately from this decorative solar water feature.
Does “In 10 Min” mean my whole pond will be finished that quickly?
No. Kit assembly and the garden project are different jobs. Pond preparation, choosing and securing rocks, routing tubing and testing the flow need their own time. Jamie’s 35-second film is an edited project story and does not establish a total installation time.
